Law Office of John D. Powers

John Powers' practice is devoted to representing clients in personal injury and civil litigation matters. He has had over twenty years of trial experience in all trial courts at both the state and federal levels. He is experienced in alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration. During his career John has handled claims for clients involving automobile negligence, defective products, wrongful death, and malpractice. He has also represented individuals and businesses in a variety of real estate, construction, business and commercial disputes.

John graduated from Framingham State College in 1983 and New England School of Law in 1988. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Civil Litigation Section, Massachusetts Bar Association, Civil Litigation Section, and Massachusetts Association of Trial Attorneys. He was recently a judge for the American Bar Association’s Law Student Negotiation Competition held in Boston, Massachusetts in February 2009.

John has also been involved in his community. He is a past president of the Milford Rotary Club and former Chairman of the Board for the Milford Area Chamber of Commerce. He resides in Franklin, Massachusetts with his wife Linda and their three sons. When John is not practicing law he enjoys watching his boys play hockey or beating them at match play in golf.
