John D. Powers

John Powers' practice is concentrated in representing clients in personal injury and civil litigation matters. He has thirty years of trial experience in all trial courts at both the state and federal levels. He is also experienced in alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration. During his career John has handled claims for clients involving automobile accidents, defective products, wrongful death, malpractice, elder abuse claims, employment disputes and discrimination claims. He is also sought out by companies to handle complex real estate problems, construction claims , and commercial disputes.

In 2021, John was selected was selected as a “SuperLawyer,” as published in the New England Super Lawyers publication and in Boston Magazine. “Super Lawyer” is a rating given to the top 5% of practicing attorneys based on an extensive peer review and evaluation process.

John graduated from Framingham State College in 1983 and New England School of Law in 1988. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Civil Litigation Section, Massachusetts Bar Association, Civil Litigation Section, and Massachusetts Association of Trial Attorneys.

John is involved in his community. He is past president of the Milford Rotary Club and former Chairman of the Board for the Milford Area Chamber of Commerce.

John lives in Franklin, Massachusetts with his wife Linda and their three sons.
